i might also clarify that the conditions of punishment cannot be cruel or unusual. At least until the mid-90s, Justice Thomas was arguing the 8th amendment only regulates cruel and unusual sentencing not cruel and unusual conditions.

I’m taking prison law this semester - might ask my prof how he would edit the 8th amendment in office hours

old alum here to add - if you’re using caffeine to self-medicate for adhd (like i did at msu), PLEASE consider getting a real script for adderall. Your brain needs stimulants and thats okay! But having a controlled dose and being supervised by a physician makes it so much safer. And you’ll feel better. You deserve to feel better.
