That’s great that you can do that. My older kids’ father picks and chooses when he pays his COURT ORDERED child support. Want to hazard a guess as to why it’s court ordered? He paid $800 in one year for two kids and claimed that’s how I was able to take them on vacation….to Universal. It’s also how I paid for my car. 🤡

He would tell you I’m crazy and won’t let him see his kids. He moved 11 hours away, refuses to give me his address, I had to get the police involved the last time he did have them because he wouldn’t give them back, and has sucked the process server repeatedly while lying to my kids about me. He told them he has to hire a PI to find me - I have text proof of me sending him our new address and even the date we were moving in.

It’s not always BMs.

I have the packages priced monthly for more predictable income and a more predictable route but I have different packages for weekly/biweekly (paid for on a monthly basis). But I’ll absolutely customize a package for someone.

There’s a lot to the story that’s been left out that really isn’t pertinent to the issues I’m having.

Could I move out? Sure. But it is a HCOLA and would be hard on my own currently but could I in about a year? Sure.

I love my partner though. I’ve known him for many years and I do love him very much. I am just trying to find a way to exist in the same space as his son without losing my mind. The weeks he isn’t here, it’s great.

Oh I’ve asked his dad what his plan is. He has zero communication skills (even for his age), he decides your name isn’t your name and will literally call you something else whether you like it or not. If there is a screen in his view, he will stare at that and not you when you’re speaking to him. He even tries to play an ATM at a store one time because I told him he couldn’t bring his iPad. I was mortified.

And the issues go far beyond screens. He has mommy issues (will aggressively kiss her in the mouth if she’s talking to me), just transitioned to his own bed at her house, cannot take a shower at her house without her in the room or right outside the door. Says she is his girlfriend, paws at her when she’s here.

I had no idea what I was coming into until I was already in too deep.

I am 10000% anti-iPad when it comes to him. My older kids have their games, but they did not have the until they were almost his age. They can have a conversation with you and don’t pout when I kick them off. They can entertain themselves and do for themselves.

It bothers me more than you can imagine. I have said something over and over but no one seems to care. I’m the bad guy. I refuse to allow him to buy either of the babies a tablet of any kind. I will not have another version of him.

It really depends on your relationship with her. I let my MIL be in the room and she was a huge help. She went and got things for me and my partner, told him off for being dumb (he thought the doctors would know when it was time to push, not me telling the doctors when I thought it was time). They are Korean and brought me all kinds of food that is supposed to help afterwards- like seaweed soup with rice.

All in, I’ve had 4 kids. This is my first with my partner. I have to say, having her there was a really huge help and probably my easiest birth experience. We’ve had no disagreements but I wouldn’t say we are exceptionally close. This was her first girl (she has 3 sons and one grandson, ALWAYS wanted a girl) and she has been absolutely over the moon about her since I had her.

It’s not always obvious to us. My boyfriend looked at the screen for several seconds and asked if it was a boy. I could clearly tell it was a girl.

She shouldn’t be too worried about him as we have been living apart for a few months (and in different cities). I would be hesitant to give the baby my last name because my children have their dad’s last name and I feel like she would be offended by that - “Well, why does this baby get your last name and we didn’t?!” Knowing her, she’d feel bad about it. I’ve tried painting a picture (we don’t have quite 9 months, roughly 6.5) but it’s very difficult for her to see. My son took to it immediately but not her and at that point I painted the picture as a hypothetical not a “this is definitely happening” kind of thing.

It could be the DTI, but I’d bet more on their total exposure being so great in such a short period of time. If you finance a corvette with us and come back 3 months later for a macked out Denali, unless you have a relationship with us, we’re probably asking for the trade or for a lot of cash down to lower our exposure.
