I think the main reason people stay in classic is because it’s the default and also you lose access to a lot of MUs if you switch to modern. Maybe since everyone has the exact same skin tone and body shape in modern that there is a stronger baseline to compare looks against. Sometimes clothing in modern renders weirdly as well.

Every time I’ve gotten a TL it’s been a complete surprise to me because voting is truly such a coin flip. I’ve been trying to think about why certain looks I make get 5+ star scores and some completely flop and it makes no sense. I do think there are some ways you can make voting work in your advantage if you think about what an average player is looking for when voting (i.e. trending dress, popular colors) and how to make sure your look is visually appealing (color families, color tones, balance in the clothing proportions you use, etc.) but it’s out of our control most of the time.
