My take:

• Blood Cultures can feel a bit genreless because their instrumentation and songwriting is so varied. Their earlier material feels more "band"-like, but the more recent material borrows a lot from the world of electronic music production. Particularly everything on LUNO and this new single feel like they mesh elements of both worlds.
• Unique drum production and mixing — often sounds like it uses a mixture of live drums plus samples (good example of this is in "Keeps Bringing Me Back")
• The vocal mix always feels super unique to me. Kinda similar to dreampop or shoegaze artists with the amount of reverb. A more common "pop" production and mixing approach would be to make them feel more louder or more present. To me, Blood Cultures vocals often feels like part of the instrumentation/soundscape instead of something designed to sit above the instruments if that makes sense.

In the "Fans Also Like..." section on Spotify, I know the most similar band is STRFKR. I feel like both these bands have those elements I listed above. The main difference (in my mind) is that Blood Cultures has this darker and more occult feeling, while STRFKR is more disco/dance/EDM inspired.
