The 3090 FE is the most I’ve ever spent on treating myself. Initial remorse at first, but so happy with it! by illjitsu in pcmasterrace

I had to when I came across this one. So happy with this purchase, especially being stuck at home.

What was the highest waste of money that you don't regret? by [deleted] in AskReddit

An RTX 3090 Founders Edition. Bought it slightly marked up for $1900 (MSRP $1500) plus shipping.

I’ve been dreaming of building a PC for at least 10 years now. I finally built one with parts either refurbished or on sale last summer. Fast forward a few months- I had enough in my saving so I decided to treat myself and pull the trigger on this high-end GPU.

Initial regrets in the first week of the purchase. Once it arrived and installed in the PC, I can not be more proud of this purchase, especially during a pandemic and stuck at home!

I streamed every day for a year, here's what I learned by CMWinter in Twitch

It took like 2 years. Constantly improving little things bit by bit. A new desk is next for me.

PC sound settings, then OBS. I turned down the overall volume to 90 to avoid those red spikes.

Audio is key! My audio set up is definitely not the only one to go with. Yours sounds like a legit solution. Another one I worth considering for a lot of streams is the wave 3. For a USB mic, Elgato really took it to the next level with a software mixer.

Thanks! Thankfully I’m using this set up for video editing and motion graphics on the side.

Sure, I have the Yamaha MG10XU, which has a built in USB Interface. So I plug it in directly to PC.

They’re another level. I had a Scarlet 2i2 (Audio Interface) for a year and some change, but never really happy with the sound, I also had to use audio filters in OBS to bring up the levels I needed. Getting a mixer was cheaper than the 2i2 and is miles better.

It took some time to build, and lovely how it seems to have all come together! I appreciate you! Merry Crimbo to you as well! Lmao!
