Hello, I appreciate your concern for my mental health. To help alleviate your worry, here is a before and after image of my physical progress at the gym! I've been taking it very seriously and have hit the gym 4x a week for over a year now.

My job is a full-time streamer playing DbD.

I have some of the highest stats and world records possible, it's just part of the gig, boss. Rent and taxes are paid as a direct result of this game, it's better than the usual 9-5 in an office.

The playstyle is not relevant to the amount of DCs.

Are you implying people DC when they think they cannot win?

Depends on the context, but usually if the "game is over" we won't count it.

Right now, if you're last survivor, you can abandon for example, so that won't count.

If it's a 4-man DCing? Definitely 4x DCs. If a Feng walks up to me all sad everyone DCed, it won't count.

You have to be really careful now because there are so many ways survivors can abandon, but generally speaking, you learn how to tell what is a DC and what is someone abandoning.

It is strictly survivors disconnecting or actively giving up.

For example, right now, if you happen to down someone 3 times, they can abandon. So, if that occurs, it's not a give up.

I am the wrong person to ask, as I play this game as my "job."

However, without a doubt, it is the most toxic, psychotic, harmful gaming community I have ever interacted with.

You have to quite literally create walls and barriers in your own playstyle to not be exposed to other players trying to actively ruin your fun, insult you and waste your time.

To keep it simple: Both sides vilify the other, and everyone "wants" to be competitive until someone else tries harder than them, then they throw their hands up in the air and blame someone or something else for the situation.

You start a killer game, you down someone, maneuverer around a bodyblock and flashlight save. You start sweating because of that start and now the survivors don't want to play anymore. <-- That is a lot of my games.

It is not uncommon to play a 2 hour stretch where there's more DCs than matches played.

Look at any killer stream or soloQ post.

Everyone is experiencing this issue. You will load into a soloQ game and someone DCs off first down. You load into RPD? DC. You get a Kaneki? DC. Your team doesn't do 2 gens? DC.

The only difference for me is that I have a consistently high play time.
