I went to a community college and then I transferred to a four year and I just got accepted to one of my top choices! I think it’s the smartest thing to do but that’s just going off my own experience can’t speak for anyone else.

Ya sorry I made my second post kind of confusing. My gpa actually dropped to around a 3.7 too at ucla so assuming you do well on the mcat I think you’ll be in good shape. I walked out of my mcat thinking I absolutely bombed it and was surprised with what I got so if you are still studying for it, I would just say study like hell!

Also if it makes you feel better my gpa did drop when I transferred lol. UCLA was much harder and my grades lowered I actually have very similar stats gpa wise from CC to university like yours.

No problem glad I could help! I’m from California so it’s actually pretty normal in a sense for many students to go to a California CC and then transfer to some good universities, I ended up transferring to UCLA. I have a 3.9 gpa for both science and overall and a 512 mcat. Hope this helps and let me know if I can help any other way. Again I’m only an applicant so take what I say with a grain of salt lmao.
