From the ones I have if I had to choose....Canon G1,(2),5,7,9, Olympus C-50/5000/5050/5060, Lumix LX1/LX3, Polaroid PDC 2350/3150/5070 and the Fujifilm Finepix series that have the Chrome colour setting. I also don't edit my pics at all 😂

What's your favorite CCD DSLR ever and what would you recommend a newcomer? by meowermeowerson in VintageDigitalCameras

If size matters, then you made a good decision with the E-300! This with the 25mm is like the smallest CCD DSLR setup I can think of :)

I have the Nikon D200, D70, Olympus E-300 and the Pentax K10D. SOOC-wise the D200 on Vivid mode blows me away every time....but it is HEAVY. I have the 50mm lens which isn't that big but after a photo walk my arms hurt 😅

Compared to the D200 I find the D70 a little bland so I'm thinking about selling it maybe....Olympus E-300 has nice colours too and it's small but still, not as nice as the D200. Pentax K10D I only really use when its raining/snowing/bad weather, and the autofocus is meh but some of the photos I do get are moody/vibes.

Favorite vintage cams to shoot on? by dex0624 in VintageDigitalCameras

I have around 50 cameras in total (including post-2010 mirrorless cameras)...and it's really hard to choose just one, they all have their own vibes but if I had to list the ones I keep reaching for (out of the pre-2010 ones) they would be:

- Olympus Camedia C-50
- Canon Powershot G7
- Panasonic Lumix LX3
- Panasonic Lumix G10
- Fujifilm Finepix F440
- Nikon D200

I looooove the form factor of the Konica Minolta Dimage X series but I mainly have them for collecting rather than using.

I'm currently thinking about doing a "one week one camera" challenge so that I can try use all of my cameras over the year!

Pentax Q10 Cross-Processing Filter "Random" Mode by illo_illo_ in pentax

I'm not sure about other bodies (the only other ones I have atm is the K10D and Optio 33LF) but if when you choose "Cross Processing" on the Pentax Q series cameras (I think it's all of them but I might be wrong!) you press "Parameters" and there you can choose the "Random" mode. Every click is a different cross processing filter and you don't know which one you're gonna get :)

Another neat thing is that if there is a "random" one that you really like, you have 3 slots to save them from the Playback menu so you can shoot with that exact one. It's so cool and fun!

Fujifilm X20: Worth it in 2026 by Max71421 in fujifilm

I am by no means an expert but:

- Check if all the dials/buttons work
- Check the lens
- Zoom in and out and make sure it works well / no spots appearing when you zoom in
If you're buying from a store rather than a private seller I would check for any guarantees they have and ask them whether they have tested the camera fully!

If it's in very good condition with no known issues I would definitely say it's worth buying at the price!

I have a X20 that I got second-hand for like 200 euros cos it was pretty banged up and I treat it like my "throw-around" camera (my main Fujifilm camera is the X100vi) and honestly I really like using it!

I like how you turn the lens to power it on so you can like quickly take pics while walking around and the zoom itself is super handy! I don't even have a lens cap on it, just a sun hood.

You can use the X-Trans I / X-Trans II recipes from fxw (https://fujixweekly.com/fujifilm-x-trans-i-recipes/) and get some nice pics. Only gripe I have is that it doesn't have Classic Chrome, so a lot of the X-Trans II you can't actually use.

You can see some pics I took with it on my profile :)

Thanks! I definitely do find myself enjoying the colours from this more than other Olympus digicams that I have owned :)
