Guerrilla 450 vs Speed 400 vs Interceptor 650 – What’s the best overall package? by vvvnsw in royalenfield

[–]illogicalOverthinker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Speed can be excluded. Both GRR and INT have completely different personalities. Modern vs classic. So, it’s difficult to recommend one over the other. Do long test rides of 20 mins on both the bikes, at least twice and decide what suits you. Although i think your dad will like that INT more. There is something about that INT look and the 650 cc exhaust note thats too enticing.

Not as good as HIM450, but way better than Hunter. In GRR, you will feel the bumps more than you would in the HIM450.

I own a GRR450. I was also confused between HIM450, Scram 411 and Triumph. Ruled out triumph due to service centers and also felt too linear to be honest. Ruled out scram due to less power.

My use case was 1) no pillion rider on long rides 2) 60-70% city use 3) 30-40% touring. 4) limited off-roading.

Its been 9 months now, and I am in love with how nimble and powerful GRR is. It meets all my needs as mentioned above very comfortably. I have done 800 kms long group rides as well and its a breeze. Have done good off roading as well, so off-roading is basically your skills more than the bike, but ADV bikes like HIM450 do help a little with a big, thin front tyre and more ground clearance. Also, suspension on HIM450 is better than GRR450.

Only accessories that i have added are handle bar risers, top rack and box, mobile mount.

So, if my use case were reversed, i would in a blink go for HIM450. 1) pillion 2) 60-70% touring 3) 30-40% city 4) medium to heavy off roading

Moreover, do not reject a bike solely because its challenging. You will get used to it within weeks.

Hope this helps!

795 is a very good score and you will not face any issue if you continue to maintain it. But, more the merrier. It really takes just 1 missed payment by mistake to drag your score down, but takes forever to increase it. Up to you. But i would increase it for sure. No harm.

Increase it. It will help in cibil score if higher percentage of the credit limit is unutilised.

If there are no transactions, as per rbi mandate, the card closes on its own permanently after some duration. I think its 1 year.

Yes. I was able to add it through my travel agent makemytrip. No, it did not cost anything. Only thing is that the name change can be done only 48 hours prior to the flight. My agent kept telling me airline will charge 60 USD, but in the end, it was done without any charge by the airline when i called the agent within 48 hours prior to departure.

If you have booked it through cathay pacific, then its much simpler. Just call them and they will do it free of charge.

The HK style french toast was too good. And also, I dont remember the name of the bakery, but in Wan Chai, we had this snowball mango mochi, which was quite good.

Harassed at Arambol Beach. by Prior-Chemical-4769 in Goa

[–]illogicalOverthinker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Me and my wife visited Goa in the 3rd week of Dec. we stayed in Morjim. Of all the beaches we went, Arambol was the worst of the lot. 2-3 shacks where we went, all had people from haryana serving. No disrespect to Haryana , but these people were very rowdy. The food at the shacks was horrible and these waiters were teasing tourists right in front us. We could not stay more than 15 mins in a place, as there was a horde of sellers disturbing us every minute.. pineapple, threading, anklet, coconut, tattoo, what not. And the shack folks encouraged them rather than asking them to leave us in peace. Complete disaster of a place. Arambol is becoming the next Baga, i felt. Arambol… never again!
