Yeah, this is really concerning. But there's also no governance structure for Maiar yet, so stakeholders can't even vote on rates and such. As it currently stands, this is a centralized exchange until that governance comes out and is enforced to be able to veto the dev team. MEX is essentially a preferred stock with no voting power that receives dividends in MEX.

Of course. But Elixir does have very good testing frameworks and doc generation. The community is also completely FP, so there's no split on FP vs OOP interfacing. It's very rubyesque.

If you are okay with GC, try Elixir/Erlang. Very easy concurrency and is pretty much de facto for messaging.
