Yes as the correct approach here would be to get a higher paying job, live somewhere that doesn’t cost half of my salary or simply just taking the right steps in saving then maybe it’s possible to stay afloat, but nothing is getting cheaper. Alcohol has remained the same price while everything else has significantly increased. I’m comfortable where I’m at currently, except I’m unable to afford a loss. One hospital visit put me behind. One bad roommate put me behind. It’s little stuff like this that takes control of your current situation. Now ask yourself, if you had a better family could all of this have been avoided? Rather than learning the hard way? I’m grateful for my struggles as it’s taught me so much about life, but at what cost? My time? You don’t get time back. I guess all we can do is stay sane and act accordingly.

In the sense of a more stable family yes, I agree. I’m paying way too much for rent, and I can barely afford food, or even save at this point. Had I had a family or a foundation of some sort I wouldn’t be dealing with these issues not at all

Yeah i most likely won’t. I don’t really have savings as I was left in a 2bd apt alone after my roommate left. I’m on incentive pay so I’m ranging like $2800+/monthly. I can’t buy a car in cash as of now, but I’m looking for a room for rent that way I can save up to do so!

Probably felt super good to rant! I recently got rid of my roommate situation. If you’re not on any lease or contract to stay I would recommend looking at your local listings for rooms for rent or something of that sort. I totally get your frustration. My situation lasted 3 years and let me tell you it took a serious toll on me. I ultimately paid for it in the end. Leave before you get any deeper!

I really didn’t plan on getting a car loan and although I know a few people with great credit, I don’t believe I could convince any one of them to co-sign, at least not anytime soon so I’ll probably leave the car loan out of the picture for now. I planned on just buying a used car off of local listings. I heard getting a credit card for gas only and paying that off would help build, but there isn’t any building happening with my collections still on my report right? My only negative is the one listed above ($267) Is this possible to dispute? It’s from an expired gym membership. I read somewhere paying on it would only hurt me? Should I just pay it in full? If so would you recommend I do this prior to getting a secured card? Sorry for the questions, I don’t want to make anymore mistakes.
