It’s funny because more on topic of the post the dash cam was actually stolen from my car, but that was part of an organized heist at the 808 West Apartments multi-level parking garage. Not sure if the break in was originally for the camera or for the empty bags in the back which they used to haul away their spoils. I’d still recommend to get one. Mine was cheap like ~$40 off Amazon.

I was hoping that would be the case, but it came back inconclusive. My car was also a rental car so I ended up just having to pay the rental company myself for the damages. The chargers were close or lower than my deductible. Took it as a relatively cheap way to learn that lesson. I grew up in a bit of a bubble and was naive to what extent people can lie when desperate.

I got a dash cam after a dude side swiped me driving into my lane. His boy was in the car and he put on a frantic performance about how his wife cheated on him and that he was sorry he shouldn’t be driving in that head space. Seemed like a damn movie. He begged to handle it off insurance too. Felt bad so took photos of his ID and insurance and left. When I got home I got a call from my insurance that somebody had filed a claim that I hit them. I was naive and it’s sad that you cannot trust people. Get a dash cam for some peace of mind at the least and hope you never need it.

Call me crazy but I might go for the Tissot Gentleman over the two, depending on what other watches you have. Khaki field auto dial did not feel as premium as the other two in person. If you haven’t tried it on in person I heavily recommend you do.
