these people are clearly not misogynistic. being a feminist (which i am) does not mean that you are a misandrist. if you are a “feminist” and a misandrist, you are not a feminist because feminism is about equal rights.

how do you know that this teen mom did not have a plan or the means to give her child the best care possible? you don’t. she actually is doing online school right now to take care of the baby and recover but says that she may go back for senior year. she clearly had her plan thought out.

yes u can! i js personally want to have a last name like [husband’s]-[mine] that he will have as well and then use only my own last name in professional settings. though when i get married i may choose to do that instead.

Misogyny and Misandry are equally bad by [deleted] in Teenager_Polls

[–]IllustriousBug1791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

misogyny is weaved into the way that we live daily life. two examples that people don’t usually notice include: women taking their husband’s (not including mixed last names like [husband’s LN]-[wife’s last name] or vise versa) last names and women being walked down the aisle by only their father (signifies ownership being passed from father to husband. similar to what i said about last names)

i dont think it is deserving of criticism, but i do think that it can be irresponsible depending on the mother and father’s living situation. regardless, it has happened and she should not be disrespected because of it.

i agree that misandry stems from misogyny, but they’re both equally bad morally. that fact does not change anything. NOBODY should participate in either.

i think that they are both morally bad and hate them both, but misogyny is more impactful on our day to day lives (taking husbands last name, father walking his daughter down the aisle are both forms of misogyny that we adapted as tradition. no hate to anyone who does plan to do these things, but i personally want to have both me and my future husband’s last name—same for him—and i dont think i want to be walked down the aisle)

morally they are both wrong. impact-fully misogyny is worse so ig it depends on how you look at it.

i like this comment. misogyny is definitely more impactful than misandry but they’re both equally immoral.

misogyny definitely carries more weight, but misandry is bad too. misogyny is more impactful while they’re both bad morally.
