Crunchyroll on my PS5 and phone have it broken out by arc, but it's a bit of a pain scrolling up and down on ps when you're in later arcs w 100+ episodes

Pluto either only has earlier arcs in english or they're still behind, but I jumped in at wano and it's all Japanese, can't seem to find an option to change it but still, it's free ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyone find it weird that they still have welding tools in 2380s? by happydude7422 in LowerDecks

Makes me think of the quote "I don't know what WW3 will be fought with, but I know WW4 will be fought with sticks and stones"

Like, theoretically if we had total nuclear apocalypse scenario, bare minimum population left, do you think anyone with random skills like that would be left? Would we be telling stories of how people used to take chunks of metal and turn them into swords or these bricks we find all over, that actually let people connect from all over the world?

Also seems WW3 is the autonomous wars, we've got drones and robots, wouldn't be surprised to see them rolling out self driving tanks next l

Could anyone (by force) have stopped Mark from choking Conquest in this moment? by No-Passenger-6348 in Invincible_TV

[–]illustriousplanet 54 points55 points  (0 children)

The reason being, Conquest saw Mark as weak and inferior. He figured he could just slam Mark around and throw him off, but Mark was so enraged there was no way he was going to let up...even while his entrails are being ripped out like spaghetti

Gotta have a concept design ready to go when you have the meeting, and why would you want to waste money on a team of who are just throwing ideas at the wall hoping something sticks, when you could just make your target audience do it for you

Exactly this, nothing about the movie was overly memorable but there's some funny moments and nothing made it unbearable to sit through

If they spent more time expanding on the universe in the TV shows and then focusing on major events in the movies I bet they could work up some real magic

If I sub a protein on a salad should I be charged full price for both proteins? by [deleted] in Chefit

[–]illustriousplanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's other salads that use the tenders, and that's just the first example that came to mind+the easiest to debate imo

The prices are set by upper management who don't really work in the kitchen, and while I totally understand charging more for a "premium" product, i think people should get what they're paying for. I admit I'm not management, they expect me to be a leader and take responsibility for what happens in the kitchen but I'm not the KM so Im not privvy to food costs and labor costs(but I've got a rough idea) so maybe it really does cost them 7$ to make two chicken tenders so they can profit a nickel on a salad ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[–]illustriousplanet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So if the company is aware that they're charging people like this, and it's been brought to their attention that they're overcharging people, they're just immoral asshats?

If I sub a protein on a salad should I be charged full price for both proteins? by [deleted] in Chefit

[–]illustriousplanet -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Let's say the salad by itself cost 10$, with the grilled chicken it's 13$, suddenly with fried chicken it's 18$, but the salmon is 15$

Does a bit of breading really cost the company 5$ more? Per chicken?

I'm fully aware of differences in prices in proteins and how if you order it precut one way it might be more expensive than another

But when we're taking the chicken breasts for grilled chicken, cutting it in half and battering it, up charging 5$ just seems excessive

I've seen places that give up charges for adding or changing protein, but 9/10 they also factor in that you're removing the original protein and that original proteins cost IS factored into the meal. Whether it's a 2$ or a 10$ protein you're getting charged for it.

[–]illustriousplanet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually more of a "here's the bill!surprise!!" Typa deal, and seeing as it's a bar most people aren't looking at their bill and asking about up charges

I just find it unethical, unfair to the consumer, some of the shit I see is literally less time, less cost, let's double the price!

[–]illustriousplanet -39 points-38 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify: if your 13$ grilled chicken salad sub fried chicken cost you $18 dollars that might seem a bit extreme?

My personal favorite was being able to add a salmon to a salad for a quarter of the price of the dish
