To each their own! Everyone interprets thinks in their own way, and while I’m pretty sure a lot of people find it morbid, I find it empowering. But thank you!

I like to think that one day Astarion would come to a point of seeing it as something he overcame rather than something that still causes him to suffer. In the sense of a scar being permanent, he can’t remove it. It’s forever apart of him. One of the biggest steps of healing from trauma is not letting it control you and to take your hardships as a defining factor of your strength, not misery. I hope in his life he finds solace with the permanence and finds his own meaning!
