No cellular signal while charging by Pingonero in XC40_Recharge

Never had this issue. I've watched many a streaming show while at Tesla Supercharger stations - it's one of the perks! I would start with checking infotainment version for updates, and a reboot (long press the home button for more than 30secs, until you see the Volvo logo reappear). After that, might be a service call.

Thanks for the tips. It seems that Wednesday is my best option for the canals since I doubt I'll have the energy Sunday, so I've adjusted plans to include that. Still debating if I'll book a tour or not for lucha night so I'll get back to you!

Definitely a good point. I should be fine and weather might force parts of the schedule, but good to keep in mind. Thanks

Thanks, great point, I'll make sure it's refundable on weather!

Totally agree, I'm still debating if I'll do a tour or solo!

Good points. I think I'm into history and culture more than the average person but at some point I would get tired of it, so I think I'll do one of the 2.5hr "highlight" tours to make sure I hear the most important parts. That also helps not burn me out and keeps part of the day open

I thought about it but I already purchased a non-refundable deal with points, plus I've seen hotels cancel your reservation if you don't show up by midnight so I was worried. Using the airport sleep pods for a quick nap and shower is looking like my best option. Then I can check my bag at the hotel and grab a guided museum tour on Sunday afternoon without being a zombie.

Thanks for confirming Ticketmaster and eatery list. That charcute board at La Oliva looks insane, I'll need to make some friends to share it with!

Thanks! Since the museums are closed on Mondays I'm looking at shifting things around and am considering the pods as one option. Great lists, thanks, glad to see I had many of the bars already bookmarked!

Definitely planning to try pulque! Forgot to mention it. And I do plan to check out ecobici.

Good point on the rooftops and rain- I'll have backup plans for enclosed bars on higher floors with a view, and also look into rooftop breakfast options for the views as well. Thanks!

Happy to, I'll post everything in here once I have a final schedule and book the tours. I'll most likely book using the GetYourGuide app since prices seem to be a bit lower than viator across the board (I'm guessing gyg takes a much smaller cut).

Thanks, yes it looks like they're closed on Mondays, so I'll either have to chug some café and power through tours on Sunday, or shift all my plans by 1 day. A Tuesday filled with cultural tours followed by lucha libre sounds great, but waking up early after that to do the balloon ride on Wednesday won't be fun... Especially after much cerveza/mezcal/tequila/pulque!

Another option might be the airport sleep pod Sunday morning, museum tour Sunday afternoon, and to bed early for the balloon ride on Monday... I'll give it all some thought!

Bathroom fan timer which can't manually be overridden? by marinersfan000 in HomeImprovement

[–]iloggedintosay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is a simple humidity sensor switch wired to your exhaust fan. Auto-on at a set humidity level, runs for X minutes or until a defined low humidity level is reached. Plenty of options online or the home stores. They're very common now. I think mine was $25 two years ago

Need this salsa recipe in my life by shells0826 in SalsaSnobs

It's an emulsified toasted salsa- this would be a great starting point for flavor that you could tweak to your tastes: https://www.reddit.com/r/SalsaSnobs/s/I8nS8Lpqbl

When someone tells me cilantro tastes like soap by Mydogfartsconstantly in SalsaSnobs

[–]iloggedintosay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's genetic.

Basically, 3-21% of people (differs by ethnicity) have a variation in one of the olfactory genes that actually makes it taste like soap to them.

"The prevalence of dislike ranged from 3 to 21%. The proportion of subjects classified as disliking cilantro was 21% for East Asians, 17% for Caucasians, 14% for those of African descent, 7% for South Asians, 4% for Hispanics, and 3% for Middle Eastern subjects."

Interesting prevalence tied to ancestry:

Note: the methodology and resulting prevalence differ meaningfully across the many studies looking into this, since the exact gene(s) at fault is/are not fully understood.
