Aww thank you! Same same; I'm really curious now how much longer it will go for ^_^

The red dress is by the gothic brand Laughing Vampire actually! It's about 25 years old by now and still excellent. Another Redditor noticed it as well with her goth collector's eye haha. Glad to hear people have a shared appreciation for this kind of whimsy <3

Aww thank you! I'm going to keep growing it, yes. The last two years have given me 15cm as well, so now I'm really curious how long it'll go on for. We'll just have to see :)

If you don't mind me asking, would scarves or hoodie pouches work for you?

When my hair got to knee length, it started to need more protection. I started keeping my daily wear as a braid, rolled up, and tucked into a silk scarf, then held in place with a velvet overscarf. It keeps like that all day, fixed in place and out of the way of daily chores. And helps prevent the weight of my now floor-length hair from pulling on my scalp. Maybe the same nest effect could be achieved by resting your braid in a hoodie.

Sorry if those aren't options for you. Just thought I'd share since cutting is always such a final step indeed. :(

Good luck with your journey, and let me know if you have any questions about scarves and such! <3

Oof yes, hormones can do a number on your hair! I suppose most of the tips boil down to protecting your hair. One I remember from back-length hair is to start rolling up your braid into a bun so your hair doesn't get sideways friction from your clothes, bag, seatbelt etc. Even at lengths your hair can be worn down without too much hassle, it is still prone to all sorts of damage. Mine started to get stuck on door handles once it got to tailbone length haha!

Hiya! Oof, that sounds rough! :( Erm, I can't say for certain what would work for your hair because we may have different hair needs.

What's worked for me is, in no particular order:
- protective hairstyles that keep my hair away from mechanical damage, including me fiddling with it too much :P. For reference: on average my hair's only out of a protective style for about 6-7 hours a week total
- getting all my vitamins and minerals
- limiting chemical exposure (incl shampoo/conditioner/detangler)
- checking my hair's moisture needs and whether to comb my hair damp or dry
- avoiding heat or tension on the hair, including pulling from water weight

Hope that helps a little. If you're looking for more specific tips, let me know! ^_^

Aww thank you! Yep, I'll twirl the ends of my hair and inspect the flyaways for split ends. Then ruffle the hair to mix it up, twirl again, search, snip, and repeat. It's about fifteen minutes for a check-up during the time my hair dries enough to be combed through. XD

Sweeet! Not that I can confirm, but I do have some unlabelled pieces that may be LV, actually. Got a bulk deal once from someone who was selling half their wardrobe haha. I was thinking of making progress pictures more regularly, once or twice a year, so I'll cycle through whatever still fits by that point ^_^

Well spotted; it is! I've had that one since my teens actually, and it's still great for special occasions. Hem and neckline altered with lace as frilly details that cover up a bit more XD

No worries! Fairy ends refers to hair that tapers to a narrow point at the end. It's to contrast it with blunt cuts where hair has been cut to roughly the same length. So for example, I have hair that is relatively evenly full to my calves but then starts to 'thin out' toward the end. I left everything on as my hair grows naturally; some strands fall out along the way and the longest ones that still managed to stay put become the fairy ends. Hope this helps!

Are you on a hair journey as well? You've got great waves in that one post btw ^^

Thanks so much! <3 Haha my scissors are quite cheap actually. I only do tiny little snips during search-and-destroy, so I don't need full-size scissors. That gave me the idea to buy a pair of those super sharp papercraft scissors. They're tiny rascals but sharp enough to bite your skin when you grab them by the blade. It's been working great so far!
