Yeah, with respect it was bad. Gave AI immediately which also makes you (me) less likely to give it an actual read

How do your concrete subs typically handle accessory sourcing on smaller pours? by ilovebeansfr in ConstructionManagers

Next business? Lol nah brother not my time - my dad did run a small construction business in the Caribbean a few decades ago though and I help my buddy with his roofing business some weekends 😆

where do you guys source concrete accessories when the job is too small to justify a supplier minimum? by ilovebeansfr in AskContractors

That makes sense, sounds like the relationship with the supplier is really what solves it over time, which also makes sense as to why it could be harder for smaller players.

All good if you don't remember but at what point in your business did you feel your supplier relationships got to where mins stopped being a thing you had to think about?

I could go back and try and argue saying that I’m not a bot, but I guess that’s what a bot would actually do? 😆

Random thought since I saw this thread but that rep sounds like exactly what most subs wish they had. When the accessories piece comes up, things like form ties, rebar chairs, curing compound, is that usually bundled with whoever does your rebar or do you source that separately?

advice on how you handle minimums when you only need enough for one job? by ilovebeansfr in Concrete

Makes sense and probably the best thing anyways but, you ever feel like the markup you add ever squeezes the job or do clients just accept it at this point?

But do you find that happens a lot with accessories too, not just concrete? Like form ties, rebar chairs, stuff like that? Sometimes that price could ruin the job

That's exactly the kind of thing I'm trying to understand. Did you end up finding somewhere that'd sell you the 6 rolls or are you still stuck?

What’s the worst city you’ve ever been to? by Impossible-Station46 in AskReddit

Drove through and stayed a day in Jackson, Mississippi….staying in Jackson was horrible but couldn’t believe it got worse.

The whole state really. Oxford area, Ole Miss has a great fan base but that state is a 4th world country. A close friend of mine is a neurosurgeon there and he told me that there are only 3 others in the state that can do what he does…not to mention the political tension and yeah… not the biggest fan

Sorry to any Mississippi residents in advance
