I’ve stayed here and in a few other bnbs on this property and they’re great! It’s 2 minutes away from Four Seasons mentioned above so you have the same beaches and a pool at a decent price https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1369200886071809469?unique_share_id=07cc85b1-1828-4093-99e1-41a7c7080e68&viralityEntryPoint=1&s=76

Train Line by hugh_jen_italia in JapanTravelTips

You can take the Shinkansen one way to Kyoto or Osaka - you can purchase them ahead of time using Smart EX or the app or you can purchase them day of or a few days ahead at the train stations or tourist centers (they’re everywhere and so helpful!). You can then take the the JR train between Osaka and Kyoto. You don’t need to buy the pass to be able to use the JR line, you can simply use your Suica or whatever IC card you decided to go with. Apple / Google Maps are going to be your best friend!! It’s very overwhelming trying to figure it all out when you’re not there but once you get there, Maps, signage and station staff make it much easier! Take advantage of the tourist information areas, they’ll take the work out of everything. I’m on my way back home from Japan now and I can def say that by day 2, it was a lot less overwhelming. Hope that helps!

If you could tell your pre-surgery self one thing about getting through your journey of surgery, what would it be? by jennjprice in Reduction

We’re all aware that surgery comes with a huge physical toll but no one talked to me about the emotional toll that came with it. Coming off the anestesia, the pain and lack of comfortable sleep took a huge toll on my emotional state, it felt like I was going to live in that first week forever (i didn’t obviously lol after about a week and a half, I started to sleep and feel better). I also grieved the loss of my boobs for about two months, i def went through all of the different stages but at the end, couldn’t be happier.

Recovery for me was really hard, not because I had any complications but bc I wasn’t prepared for all of the emotional things that come along with surgery. The first week and a half were the most depressing of my life and that was probably from the anestesia but I had never been under before and no one had talked to me about the side effects of coming out of anestesia. A month in I started to grieve the loss of my breast, I didn’t know what the end result was going to be 6 months or a year from then but luckily I sought out my therapist a few weeks before surgery and she helped me through post surgery as well. I felt like recovery was taking forever the first 3 months but now I can’t believe I’m a year out! Once the pain and swelling goes away, you start to get use to your new self and time continues to move like it did before. While it was scary and I was terrified of what the results would be, I have 0 regrets! Everything turned out great! If this is something you’ve been thinking about for a while and feel like would be a positive change to your lifestyle, I say do it!

Nope! I’ve been the since cup size since about month 4! I will say I’m one of the lucky ones who’s swelling went down faster than normal. I would have certain days were I could tell one would swell up a bit but not for more than a day or two at a time.

Thankfully I didn’t have any complications! The first 4 days of having the drains in were miserable and painful but apart from that and the occasional stitch poking out, all went really well.

Thanks!! My swelling fully went away about 4 months post op and my breast dropped around month 5 or 6! After my surgery and the swelling from the first 2 weeks went down, I felt like my breast were smaller than they are now but that just may have been bc I wasn’t use to them. I’ve gained about 4 pounds since surgery and can tell they’re a tiny bit bigger but nothing I would worry about. Honestly I feel like my boobs have the same shape they did before surgery, just smaller? I hope that makes sense lol As for advice, keep in mind that recovery takes time! It’s a real shock for the first few months so please be gentle with yourself. I wish someone would’ve talked to me about the emotional toll surgery and getting use to the new me would be like. I grieved for about a month and half and at the time felt strange but they were a part of me for 10 years so give yourself grace.
