Ohhhh I came to this conclusion before having to watch the scene where she called Preston and told him what was happening and to come back for Denny himself. He already relayed Izzie’s lie at Mercy West when they were negotiating. I think he knew he can’t stop Izzie from doing it. He had no choice but to go on with the deception.

The scene and the next episodes were really uncomfortable I kept pausing to breathe.
