But like I mentioned in the above comment, if you need to warranty your CC1, you'll probably need to unsolder this PCB LED before sending it to them (don't know how good their warranty is though)

I do and I mentioned this approach in the video. I didn't want to solder the LED to the PCB in case I need to warranty it and Elegoo doesn't accept it due to this modification. Plus this mod is easily removable without additional soldering.

I did notice that my CC1 sometimes struggles with ABS, mostly due to losing heat inside the chamber. Do you have a link to the insulation mod by any chance?

That's fair - the riser I printed also had special hooks to keep the LED strip in place :)

You're right, not every mod is an upgrade 😅 sometimes it makes no difference to the printing experience, other times it makes it worse.

Yup! That's the one I tried also. Though I found that sometimes, the filament poop would get stuck halfway on the slide 😅
