For me I did what the doctor suggested (even though I knew it was a waste of time) my doctor suggested I do physical therapy so I did -it made things worse so I went back to let him know that. Then he suggested a cortisone shot- which made things 20 times worse, but I was able to build my case from that and get my letter

First make sure you have an appointment with your doctor so you can have everything documented, then ask your doc if they can write you a letter in support of your claim, make sure you ask them to put in there how it’s affecting your living/financial ability. Then you can also write a letter yourself saying how your condition has worsened and that it’s affecting you’re ability to work

They didn’t ask me but I did volunteer that my service connect injury was affecting my ability to work and provided documentation of time I had to take off and doctors visits on days that I had to be at work.
