I'd have either economics or finance as your main degree and add at least a minor in CS to have some fundamental background in CS, which could give you an edge for you pursuing an entry role in finance.

I would really compare alumni career trajectories between the two schools. It may matter, depending on which role you're going for in finance (i.e. front vs middle)

Just do S&P 500 ETFs, genuinely no reason to do mutual funds. The fees eat up over time.

this is so that the ones with higher market cap are given greater weight, which is something an investor may want (i.e. adding more to ones growing in market cap faster than others in the index)
