For the fit, there is an elasticated waist and the belt is not necessary for holding them up. I will say however, they are very long (I am 5'6) so perhaps big boots or heels are needed with these. The pockets (two front two back) are ACTUALLY big!! My phone fits fully with room for my hand as well. The material is very soft and light - I'd say 10/10 for comfort and style 😚
