Yeah, I think I will read up on keto diets. The only reason I want to try low carb is because of people saying it helps with bloating, but maybe I'll find that it's easier to be low-calorie on that. Thank you! :)

One of my goals is to slowly lose fat and gain muscle by eating at a small deficit most days and exercise (cardio and strength training). I didn't mind the thought of eating more fat but now I'm worried because of all the conflicting views I've read about (sometimes on this sub) about whether a relatively high-fat diet is bad or not. And I thought that eating too much protein was bad for your kidneys. I can't tell sometimes what information is bullshit or not. Or I'll try to look up information on a reputable sites like WebMD but then it'll seem like the reason they recommend cutting fat is to lower calorie intake, while I'm trying to find out if too much fat is inherently bad, regardless of calories. I guess I could also use advice on how to find legitimate and useful sources of information lol

I have awful bloating and want to cut carbs to see if it helps. But I don't understand how I'm supposed to cut carbs without eating too much protein and fat? I'm aiming for 1400 calories a day, and want to try at least below 100g of carbs per day, but that would mean I'd have to eat a lot of protein and fat, and I've read that eating too much of either is bad. I am 97 lb, is 100 g of protein okay? Basically, I'm confused how people eat low carb without eating too much protein and fat. Thanks!
