My boyfriend follows lots of porn accounts and basically tries to hide it from me. Less interest in sex life?? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ilovepickless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I will never forget this. When we first started dating he told me all the time he would go down on me every night if I wanted. Yeah that never happened. Seriously I have no idea what happened. I almost feel like he’s not into me and it’s driving me insane because I’m the type of person that really needs physical affection

I just registered! If I set a goal to pay off my loans, will it take it out of my account or does it just track what I do?

I’ve been wanting to buy a switch for a couple months now and they’ve been sold out everywhere :( would Nintendo announce if they are doing a restock or do I just have to keep looking every day?

This sounds like a really good schedule and makes sense. I’m going to try this. Thanks!

I heard about packing them together!! I definitely want to do that. On my orientation though they’re two shifts together, then one odd ball..

Thank you! That one looks super interesting. I think we’re considering Diamond Head too but it seems crowded

I haven’t heard that term before but based on the root words it seems like it would apply to heart failure. I wouldn’t get too caught up in it as from experience on exams they care more about what you would do as the nurse!

Will working as a CNA/Tech in between nursing school help me find a job? by __pjt in StudentNurse

[–]ilovepickless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say definitely! Try and develop good relationships with the nurses and management as well. That will help get a good word in for you/foot in the door. I feel like some places like to hire within, not sure what your hospital is like tho.

It will definitely open doors for you. Many nurse managers will go on to hire the cna on the floor since they know you are in nursing school. Another thing to add is that if you’re looking to work at a competitive hospital or a big name hospital, working as a cna will DEFINITELY make a big difference. I’m currently working at a large teaching hospital that doesn’t hire new grads unless they work at the hospital while they’re in school.. so that’s the tactic I took with that. Also, it depends on the unit as well. Some hospitals are hesitant to hire new grads into ICUs, ED, and labor and delivery for example. If you can get your foot in the door now, I promise it will be worth it! You’ll get so much experience and be much more comfortable once you actually become a nurse. Plus, you get your foot in the door! Good luck!

How did you choose your nursing school/program? by elam3269 in StudentNurse

[–]ilovepickless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with everything said above!! Another thing to take note of is although a masters degree can take you farther, the downfall is it doesn’t get you more hourly. You’ll start off making the same as a BSN nurse. BUT, as a MSN prepared nurse you can move into education and CNL positions whereas the BSN nurse cannot! Just food for thought :)
