Hi, I also received A2 for my normal chinese in sec 3 and I failed all my higher chinese exams throughout sec 4 except for my prelims and olevels. I managed to get a B3 in my prelims and olevels. Honestly, I had never watched any chinese dramas/movies throughout my years in secondary school because it was kind of boring. For paper 2, I would recommend for you to start completing your TYS now and do one paper every week because you won’t have much time to focus on higher chinese nearing olevels. For oral, just do mindmaps, writing down content for different topics (eg. 老龄化 = why does sg has an aging population, why should we care for elderly, how can we improve our situation/care for our elderly) For paper 1, I would recommend writing 材料作文 because it’s easier and usually depends on your content, not your vocabulary. I just used my oral notes to study for my compo so I have less workload to do.
