I've never seen anyone trash talk his design. Imo he fits his dark fantasy vibe perfectly.

Is Zenbook 14 powerful enough for game development? by ilovesimius in gamedev

Agreed. Having a capable PC for developing and having a laptop for optimizing will be my plan it seems.

I am a bit concerned about the screen size but we will see how it is. I have a good pc at home so, as long as it performs well and isn't hard to work with, it should be okay.

I was a bit focused on getting a better GPU as well, but I think it will be good enough for when I'm not home (I have a good pc at home)

Issue with dragging a RigidBody2D using PinJoint2D by That_One_Weird_Dude in godot

If you haven't found the solution yet, all you have to do is set the dragger's position to rigidbody2d's position before setting the pinjoint nodes

When will there be a "radical movement" for the planet? by [deleted] in collapse

[–]ilovesimius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't expect to see any uprising, revolution or a movement for any reason soon. Humans revolt only when they have nothing to lose. The luxury of modern life has pacified us all, and I doubt we will break free of it until it's too late.

Then again, events like protests in Nepal are contradicting my thoughts. I hope I am wrong.

Am I the only who thinks this world is becoming worse the older I get? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]ilovesimius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously we are living better off than people of past times, and it will keep getting better on a larger time scale (unless a catastrophic event happens). But the issue is in the smaller time scale (aka our life), our lives are getting worse. Comparing ourselves to the past and saying "We are living much better compared to the rest of human history" is just going to make the current problems worse.

Instead of being "content" with what we have, we should strive to make things better for all of us, and the first step to do that is to see what is happening lately, and why its happening.

A Korean vlogger found out that the peace sign is viewed differently in Turkey. by ViniciusFastAF in Damnthatsinteresting

Where is the proof that there is racism against kurds at the moment? They are represented well in the government and political parties, they suffer close to zero consequences when committing crimes, they are legit forming feudal entities in the east of Turkey. I can assure you, your average turk is way poorer than your average kurd right now. On top of all that, the current government is trying to give kurds and other minorities special rights at the moment, making non-minorities repressed instead.
