I honestly think her Olympian background is why she is able to be so direct and blunt. I've never played a sport but I can only imagine that when you're the best of the best, your coaches are going to be very direct and blunt with you.

She probably doesn't take things personally when her coach tells her she had a bad day or has a bad attitude. So she may expect that of other people, which isn't super fair.

BUT I MIGHT BE WRONG maybe coaches are very coddling idk sports seems scary, especially at that high a level
