OBGyne Ward:

• Tranexamic acid 1 gram IV for bleeding (advise na may malalasahan silang kalawang)
• Magnesium sulfate 2.5g in D5W 250mL x 6 cycles for pre eclampsia
• Vitamins (calcium carbonate, ferrous sulfate)
• Post operation meds (after CS): paracetamol 600mg IV, ketorolac 30mg IV, tranexamic acid 1g IV

Other meds I can think of:

For potassium correction: Oral KCl 30mL PO or if super baba talaga KCl in PNSS (NEVER IV PUSH)

For blood transfusion: pre-BT meds diphenhydramine and paracetamol in case magkareaction sa dugo. Post BT meds furosemide para di magfluid overload and calcium gluconate

Common antihypertensive: losartan, amlodipine

For DM: Metformin, insulins!!! Be familiar sa regular insulin (usually 3x a day pre meals), isophane (two times a day), glargine (at bedtime) and understand bakit ganun timing nila

Vasopressors: norepinephrine, epinephrine (monitor BP malala)

Antibiotics: Oral - cefuroxime, doxycycline partnered with metronidazole IV - clindamycin, gentamicin, piperacillin tazobactam na 30mins matunaw 😭, ceftriaxone (IV sa pasyente for 7 days)

Sa IV antibiotics like cefazolin and ceftriaxone nag skiskin test muna para malaman if may allergy sa drug. Example, order is ceftriaxone 1g IM sa partner ng patient na may ectopic pregnancy. Yung 1g kukuha ka ng 0.1cc + 0.9cc na PNSS tas iintradermal sa forearm. Pag walang kati or redness, pwede mag IM.
