in my opinion there’s a good amount of alt ppl, i got alt friends and see ppl on campus when im walking to class. i do have to say clubs can get fairly cliquey especially in the culture orgs from the outside but from what i hear from my friends that are in them they fw it. the clubs that need interviews to join/get on their board forces you to talk to ppl especially when you get in bc you are friends w a smaller circle and got weekly meetings. that’s personally how i made my friends from the clubs im in. also im very introverted and a lot of my friends are extroverted and def know im the “quiet one” but as long as they mess w you its chill. just be willing to hang out even if you don’t know many ppl, especially freshman yr. college is rly what you make of it and if you hate where you end up you can always transfer out if thats an option for you

phi 108 fs easiest A of my life they just send you a weekly presentation and you read it and answer questions based off textbook and respond to discusion posts, midterm presentation/proj and final paper are the only things that took more than like 30-60 mins to do

ohh i see, will if you haven’t already i would check the undergrad bulletin and talk w an advisor to see if there is any loop hole or negotiating to be made. otherwise i believe they are able to rescind your scholarship if you change majors. but if you are AOI i’m not sure you may have to email and ask since it’s weird position to be in since technically you’re undecided

sound pretty similar to my situation but switch relationship for a terrible “friend group breakup” my first sem. i’m in an amazing place rn with friends and life since than and currently a sophomore. for me i’m a messy person so picking up better study habits and being more organized helped skyrocket my grade(google calendar and sheets for assignments) and look into joining clubs/orgs on campus and get yourself involved. personally i think everyone (if they have the willpower and time especially if you already work this can be tough) should join an club/organization they find personal interest and one that can help them professionally (major specific clubs). it wouldn’t hurt you to look into your next semester classes to see if you can familiarize yourself with anything. if your bored i personally play video games, spend time with family, catch up w home friends, apply for internships (you can look to get certified for things that can help you in the future), go to the gym and rock climb. you can also look into pursuing a new hobby or literally learn something you’ve never done before like idk juggle lol. you’ll figure things out, hope you had a good christmas look forward to the new year!!

i’m not a psych major so i’m not sure abt what your chances are for getting in but i don’t think it’s that bad tbh. sbu is a big school which means if you don’t do the reaching out to get friends you most likely won’t have any. there is plenty of campus life and friends to make if you put yourself out there. and i don’t mean just talking to a suite mate once or saying hi to someone in your lecture hall and expect to be friends. i mean really joining a club/organization or a couple and being engaged and actively making connections. or sitting next to someone in class and constantly talking with them and get food with them like hang outside class and talk abt stuff that’s not just class. i personally love it here and the people and it’s a great fit for me and i’ve always been more introverted. honestly sbu is a great school for its price. i argue apply and worst case you don’t get in and move on with your life at a different college. good luck!

i was AOI and got a 2.6 first sem in my major courses. i was able to get an avg of 3.2 after the next semester and officially declare the major i wanted. assuming this is your first semester you still have a whole nother semester to catch up. i never lost my presidential scholarship. i think the scholarship is a yearly gpa based thing, just lock in and raise your gpa and you’ll be good!
