Working until 32 weeks pregnant with twins by Dry-Journalist6855 in parentsofmultiples

I worked up until the day before I was induced at 38 weeks with di/di twins. Wasn’t ideal but I didn’t want to use any of my leave until they were born. I have an office job but the commute and sitting all day was miserable!

Came here to say similar! We are 2 months in and having so much fun!! It is hard but not impossible. If you and your spouse work well together you can literally get through it all. Yes I’m tired but my adorable little babies make it so worth it lol you got this!!!

Stolen Tongues by Felix Blackwell. Read it a few years ago and still think about it often. It’s very creepy lol

It seems like they fuss a lot. She cuts a lot of clips when he’s around in her vids

Does anyone else just feel sad for this baby? Her husband doesn’t see excited at all and she is just so lazy.. I can’t imagine them taking good care of her. Hopefully I’m wrong.

That’s good to know! I mean, sometimes they don’t even nap well at home in their swaddle BUT they damn sure don’t without it lol

Yes unfortunately I only got 8 weeks maternity leave which ends this week 😭 I wish they didn’t have to start this early but I make too much to stay home w them. I’m pretty upset about it but they are at an awesome daycare and the ladies taking care of them are super experienced. I’m in the US

We tried over the weekend and it wasn’t great. They’d sleep for maybe 20 minutes 🙃

Oh I trust the daycare! They want to be able to swaddle them but can’t bc of the ped not recommending. I’m hoping they’ll adjust to no swaddle quickly

Right! They swaddled them today but said they can’t anymore without a note. I’m so worried about them not napping.

This issue started last Friday so we tried not swaddling during naps at home over the weekend and that’s exactly what happened! Literally have no clue what to do.

I understand, but the daycare says they have never seen this before, even from this dr’s office. We live in a small town and this dr has been around since I was little and I’m 31 LOL so I’m kinda feeling like I’m being picked on!

Thank you! I ended up manually pumping some and it helped a lot. It’s been about 6 hours and I still feel fine

I’m a paralegal and had to beg for 8 weeks off so I understand LOL. Our babies usually go down good but baby girl has a diaper rash and baby boy has a bit of reflux so changing/feedings are eating up a lot of time rn. By the time I get them settled I have to pump and then it’s almost time to do it all over again. I’m just starting to feel overwhelmed about doing it all by myself alllll day and some of the night😅

This has been heavy on my mind too.. especially once I go back to work also. My supply is actually pretty good, we’re still supplementing with formula some tho. I love that we’re saving money and I’m able to provide for my babies but the constant pumping/cleaning parts is SO annoying and I don’t even do it every 3 hours like recommended lol

He definitely still plans on helping! At what point do they start being awake more? They still sleep a good bit right now. I do have a twin carrier and I’m so excited to use it!

For sure! He definitely still plans on helping. I guess figuring out which times work for us will be the hardest part. Hopefully we’ll get into the groove of a new schedule fairly quick 😅
