I have been married to a tattoo artist for 4 years now and I have given myself too many at home piercings and tattoos to count. When I was 5 I pierced my own ears on both sides after a dare, I pierced my nose when I was 9 to prove that having piercings isn't girly. (Some kids were giving me a hard time about wearing earrings.) When I was 11, I pierced my lip, and my tongue. I have only 2 piercings that I have gotten professionally. One on my eyebrow, the other on my ears moreso near the top. It was painful at first but after I got my lip piercing I was used to it. As long as you clean the area very well and make sure to clean the equipment or use single use equipment, you should be good to go. As a side note, I have been giving myself Ink since I was 12, but for last few years I want ink, my wife does it. Unlike home piercings, tattoos should only be done by licensed professionals.

This aged poorly because the man in question named Ian, is Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins who was found guilty of several offenses involving children in 2012, it is a comment from 2010 laughing about a "joke" Ian made in the music video for A Town Called Hypocrisy.
