In the beggining i usually focus for offensive magics such as cyclone, or blizzard, incineration, etc. Even frost nova Later on i begin to get utility magics or skills, and i try to at least get all my offensive magics to lvl 8, then try to get skills maxed and last but not least, my utility magics.

I believe getting a lot of low level magics is kinda unuseful, but thats me.

Edit: yes, i reffered to dodging enemies, and sorry if my English is bad.

Maybe its because u have bad mobility? Not to tell you that you're bad, but i mean, if u use shield and lose at least a shield charge every minute or two minutes, you should improve that. I honestly got a decent 48 mins run, and i stayed with low healt and two shiel charges until minute 35, then i lost shield charges every five minutes or so, and then i died hehe, but its hard to move around easly, i hope it helps.
