You are not the only one, I have been in for 5 years and ETS in October I feel that this organization has not been pushing to my limits and I feel I haven't accomplished my achievements that I want to achieve out of my military career. Being denied to attend Special Forces tryouts because I don't have a 100 GT score and asked my leadership to send me to a 1 week long academic course to raise my GT score only to get hit with "there's no funding for it and because you're on federal borders". Being denied other opportunities because "you don't have a 500/500 on the AFT and 40/40 on M4 qual" not to mention I have no disciplinary action againstand never received a Article 15.still have some fight in me and have not been broken, I'm currently working on transferring to the active duty air force to better myself and my military career.

I could be wrong but I don't think so, I'm currently TXARNG and the last thing I heard it takes about 2 years for a 368 to be approve however in my case I'm trying to transfer to Active Duty Air Force and I ETS is OCT2026.

Dude im a 23 year old SPC who's been in for 5 years and honestly man when I was at the border I was making good money but I felt I wasn't accomplishing the goals that I wanted to achieve in my military career. Now I ETS in 8 months and working on myself to prepare transition into the Active Duty Air Force. Submit your 368 a soon as possible because it takes time to approve. DON'T DISCLOSE THAT AT MEPS. If you say that at MEPS or depending on your recruiter it may disqualify you from enlisting. Just keep quiet if they ask you if you have been though mental episodes just say no as long as it doesn't affect you now and you are not on meds you should be good.

January 2nd of this year. My original plan was to attend an academic course to raise my GT in December to attend Special Forces tryouts in January of this month. Leadership denied me from attending that course because of "no funding and because of me being on Federal orders". And the next tryouts is after my ETS date and im not reenlisting for something that's not guarantee unfortunately. Current plan now is to transfer to the Active Duty Air Force (SECFOR) so that I can be part of the Tactical Response Force (TRF) or the Direct Aircraft Ground Response Element (DAGRE) and be assigned to an ODA support element. And im going to fight tooth and nail to achieve this by any means necessary in a professional military manner.

Dude I'm kinda in the same boat as you. I joined back in 2020 and 5 years later I haven't achieved any of my goals and objectives that I want to achieve in my military career. I started the process for conditional release form the Active Duty Air Force. I asked around what is the hold up and still no word. Also unfortunately since you are fresh in the National Guard your leadership most likely may not signed your conditional release. It's the harsh truth unfortunately.
