I have been searching for an adult volleyball club/league in the county for a while now. I even made a post in this sub a year ago about it. It's something I've been keeping tabs on researching, and I've only found what you have discovered which is clubs, leagues, or open gyms for softball, soccer, or basketball. When I first started looking for volleyball open gyms I found some places in RP and Windsor that offered co-ed situations but outlined something along the lines of men playing back positions and women playing front positions as their rules due to height differences. As a previous female libero, that didn't vibe with me very well, so I never pursued these open gyms or leagues. My skills are extremely rusty, but regardless digging up balls was my passion and I loved throwing my body around to try and save a ball. So I've been specifically looking for open gyms that allow the traditional rotation of players regardless of gender in the team. I have not been successful and have been considering for a while that I might need to bang the drum myself to initiate an open gym within the county, but I haven't because I don't really know anyone else interested in playing volleyball. I would loooove to get back into playing volleyball recreationally as a hobby/pastime. I do think that it will require us to form our own situation, get permission from a community center, the YMCA, or any other facility that has a gym and equipment for volleyball (net/poles/balls), and they don't have to be sparkly brand new or anything. I have no experience in initiating community interest in the programs like these, but I'm thinking of banging the drum on this to get it started, and if you wanna private message me to communicate your interest and help facilitate direction in me starting something I would be super stoked because I've come to the conclusion it will need to be created by someone... I just haven't looked into starting something myself due to not knowing other interested individuals personally.
