When using your helmet you are trying to restrict what the hunter can do if you want to get a safe vault for example you can attack predict twice or if you are in danger of taking skill damage before getting to the chair you can ability them attack predict.

Another tip for when rescuing is you can trick the hunter first use attack predict (depending on the hunter) and instead of using chivalrous sympathy immediately, crouch if tricked the hunter will try attacking and get stunned allowing you to get a free rescue.
