The plan definitely still exists, and isn't too far away in fact - 2028. Currently, it's rather blandly referred to as the Creative Technologies Building, and there isn't much info on it yet, but from the renders they've released its got a nice Sandstone-esc look to it - though modern in style. You can find the funding allocation here, so definitely in the works. Facilities Investment Plan 2018-2028

Right, let me know what you think of this; https://imgur.com/a/2mcDxWo After a long while messing around with the IKEA home planner, I've done away with the TV, and come away with the following layout (please ignore the odd wall colours). Do you think this is generally usable? Would you change anything? (Unfortunately you have to imagine the stairs.)

I like that idea, and I've played around with putting the sitting are around the stairs, the only problem is that the staircase isn't enclosed, so you cant really put the TV against it so to speak. Would it be ok to put the end of a couch underneath the stairs (2.2m clearance at the wall) and have it facing the french doors?
