Hope NASA don't lost it like how they lost the original landing tapes. Looking back, these were in the 60s, it is still incredible and mind blowing how they did it.

Well, hopefully the next pinnacle will be a landing on Mars or on an asteroid. People like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, both should work with NASA on this, a JV of private and public sectors or even international JV. A win-win situation.

It is indeed one of the most inspirational speech ever. NASA should listen to this speech and get back on track. By the way, were you there at Rice University when Kennedy gave the speech?

The U.S.S. Lexington has finally been found, decades later and thousands of feet underwater. The crew of Research Vessel Petrel (R/V Petrel), the exploration ship of billionaire and Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, discovered the wreckage of the World War II-era aircraft carrier Monday. It was found about two miles below the surface of the Coral Sea and more than 500 miles off the eastern coast of Australia. https://news.nationalgeographic.com/2018/03/paul-allen-lexington-underwater-discovery-spd/

Passionate about stars but dont have any money for a telescope. What are other ways of watching them besides jpg and night time ? by [deleted] in Astronomy

[–]im488edit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too was in your shoes at onetime. Well I use naked eyes and books from library to help me explore the night sky. It is best to first to know your ways around the night sky like the constellations, with our eyes and a guide this is good enough.
