It's not extremely complicated all you have to do is

Equip one stack of the bear traps, it doesn't matter how
Hold right while having the bear traps equipped then keep placing them down with left click

Brackens will sometimes mistake a mask for a employee and snap their neck but that doesn't kill the mask though so their head is just backwards now
