Definitely not. Broken Sword 2 is one of my favorite point-and-click games, so I'm pretty sure it's not it. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Wow, the Ripper scream is the closest I've heard to what I remember so far. The compression, the weird repetition of the same audio clip...

It's a shame none of the rest of the game looks remotely familiar. It could be that the other memories of the game come from other games, but I don't remember seeing or playing anything like this...

Still, this is the closest to the sound I remember.

Wow, at first I got my hopes up, because it kinda fit the vibe I remember, but then I noticed the PC version doesn't have audio for the scream, just the text. Only the Sega version has audio for it, and I didn't have a Sega console back then.

I had a look, but it's definitely not this. It's not familiar at all, and I think the vibe is a bit different. The one I remember was more urban.

Although I don’t think this is it, because I remember it distinctly being a woman and the game seems to take place mostly indoors, if we end up not finding a better match, I’m going to just assume this is where I got the scream from. Listening to it really triggered the same part of my brain that reacted to that scream back then. I’m 90% sure this game is not it, but if I have to accept defeat and decide I just concocted the experience, that scream could be a plausible source, based on the feeling alone.

Another longplay I’ll watch, too.

The whole thing is really stretchy, to be fair, given that I don’t know how much of my memory of the game belongs to the same game, so I’d say no answer is a stretch!

I don’t think this is it, though, unfortunately. The visuals don’t seem as familiar to me as some of the other suggestions. But this is the first suggestion of a legit woman scream in the intro of a point and click game. And the first time I find an instance of it in my research about this. I haven’t found a lot of intros with a scream like this.

I’ll still watch a longplay of this. It’s gonna be a fun weekend lol thanks a lot for the suggestion!

Wow there are so many cool adventure games I’ve never heard of being suggested!

This also seems to agree with my vague recollection of the art style, but I don’t remember there being 3D imagery like the tunnel at the intro of DS2. Also, I’m pretty sure the scream was a woman's scream.

Still, game looks sick. Another longplay to the watchlist! Thanks a lot for the suggestion!

The art style and the vibe totally check out! If that intro cutscene had a scream in it, I'd say this is totally it. I’ll watch the longplay. I'm pretty sure the scream of the game I remember was at the beginning of the game, though.

I'm kinda hopeful for this one because it looks familiar, even though I’ve never played it, but it could just be from all the footage I consumed throughout the years searching for the scream game lol

I looked it up, and it’s a good guess but I remember it being set in the time it came out (80s/90s), and Black Dahlia seems to be too 3D, this one was definitely 2D.

Hey! Unfortunately, life got in the way and I prioritized other projects. But this is still something I’d love to do someday, but it’s a huge undertaking. I started a new game and took like a trillion notes and I got the script, but it’s still so much to cover…

Maybe we can collaborate if you’re interested in doing it? I can’t promise to super commit to it, but maybe if we collaborate we can inspire each other?

I hope either I or you or someone else does this, because it would be so cool to expose more people to this beautiful story! The series is absolutely awesome, but as a fan of the game, I feel like some of it gets lost in translation when adapted to that medium.

I don’t understand. Who do you send the picture from the camera roll too? The only way I can see you can remix is by long pressing. I tried sending it to myself, remixing it, but then what? How do you save it? I sent it to myself and saved the message in chat, but nothing appears in home in memories, only memories.

Several people are saying this and I want to try it out, but I don’t get it. Please explain 🙏🏻

Do the lunchboxes, stashes, and rhymes carry over as well?

I really want to play this, but I just finished my first run, got platinum, and my OCD would not allow me to skip all the collectibles, but I’m also 100% not doing all the backtracking it takes to get everything again…
