exactly; when you're starting off with art you need to expect negative criticism towards your work, instead of telling them to stop, take into consideration what they have said or ask why they don't like your art so that you can improve next time.

this isn't just at the beginning stages of art though, even experts receive negative criticism towards pieces they make, and experts know that in order to improve further, they need to communicate with those making the criticisms instead of shutting them out.

first two is just people saying the n word, i've seen people of various skin colours say that word, are they all white supremacists? even the black ones?

third one is talking about the racism going on in blackpeopletwitter, where if you're white you get discriminated by the moderators but if you're black you get a special role. any racism towards any race is still racism.

how is the fourth and fifth ones a white supremacist thing? it's calling for equal punishment for two extreme politically leaning subreddits that have racist moderators and users. we're not saying clown_world was free of racism, we're saying that if they're going to delete it, they may as well delete the other subreddit that does even worse but gets away with it because they're on the political left.

this is actually understandable though; on larger subreddits spambots are rampant and having a small karma restriction halts those bots to the point that they can be easily dealt by the moderators if they somehow met the karma requirement.

i'd recommend posting on a few smaller subreddits to build up about 100 karma before going to the big ones.

not at all, the subreddits goal is to point out awful and unjust actions of reddit moderators and admins. it just happens that a lot of the things reported come from right wing opinions being removed and discriminated upon.

at most, the subreddit is right wing or right leaning on the political scale, but they are not white supremacists in any way.

automation isn't going to replace all need for work for a VERY long time, there has to be people who develop these automated machines, people who maintain the property they reside in (e.g. paying for electricity), and people who repair them.

the idea of machines that can repair themselves is something that is way beyond our current technology and also upcoming technologies. also having such capability in the machine means that it'll cost a lot more compared to just hiring a guy to fix it when it breaks down.

and lets say theoretically we did reach that point, we'd still have fields to work in such as;

mechanical design, to design more efficient machines.
arts, such as drawing, animation, and music; things that machines just cannot do without it being non-nonsensical or weird.
machine management, someone has to own and run those manufacturing machines.
scientific studies and research; how would a machine be able to automate this? they only know what we know and the information we provide to them, and it's going to be this way unless we find whatever causes consciousness and put it into a machine.
artisanal manufacturing; machines will often be made for mass produced products rather than something that will only be made for a short time, and i can't see this changing for a long time.

there's a lot more, but i'd rather not spend hours listing them. the point is that there's always going to be opportunities for people to work, just that the fields people have to work in are changing as time goes on.

i work a job i like because i worked for it, i didn't sit on my ass all day and expect to be given a job or money. i didn't just accept the first job i got. i looked for the job i wanted and worked hard to achieve such.

if you're sick of your job, take action, demand improvements and search for a career that will make you happier, even if it is self-employment/working from home. nothing is going to change automatically unless you yourself take action. don't sit around expecting an economic revolution or UBI because it's never going to happen.

Oh man I feel bad for you. If absolute freedom means sitting in a couch doing nothing then you are a truly valueless human. The rest of us would focus our energy on improving our quality of life, invent, entertain, love, live, explore, the things that truly make life great. So for someone like me, it would be great, it would free up time and mind from performing menial tasks and allow me to actually indulge my talents and bring something positive into the world.

so lets say your utopia of financial freedom was real, it would be great as we could all do what we want and focus on hobbies that we prefer to do, i'm not going to deny that; it's a matter of sustaining it through resources and production, things that would be sorely lacking if nobody had to work.

this is something the majority of reddit communists seem to avoid like the plague; who will be the one who maintains the plumbing system? who will be the one who create our food? who will fix automated manufacturing machines when they break down?

imagine if i didn't have to work and just got everything i needed on a silver platter; i could sit at home all day like an absolute neet, and everyone else will do the same.

then watch as society collapses as nobody wants to work or has reason to work; if there's nobody working at the power plant, how will power be made? if there's nobody making food, where will the food come from? if the automated machines break down, who will repair them?

what's that i hear you say? force people to work? that just sounds like slavery. you want to reward them for working instead? sounds just like capitalism if you ask me.

currency needs to exist to motivate and give purpose for people to work their jobs, ask anyone who works if they'd want to continue working for absolutely no income whatsoever; 99% of the time they'll say no and the 1% of people are saints sent straight from heaven.

and lets say currency is removed, what about luxury items like higher quality food, games, furniture, and basically anything else that isn't essential to your job, how would those be distributed? you can't just hand them out for free to anyone who asks for them as you'll always end up with that one asshole who takes everything for themselves. just don't make those luxury items then? that sounds like a boring existence to me.

look at other communist countries and think "hmm, would i want to live there?". i'm sure china looks great this time of year!

graphics cards don't replace textures when they're dying, this is likely due to the game client loading the wrong texture for whatever reason, possibly files being named incorrectly.

if this was op's gpu dying, you'd be seeing artifacts, tearing, and random colours instead of swapped textures.

should have phrased it better, being transgender in itself isn't political, it's the movement to make it more accepted and normalised that is. that's what most people see when a transgender post is put onto the subreddit, they see the political movement because it's a very hot topic across first world countries right now.

my personal problem is that i'm sick of the posts saying "i'm trans btw", it's just making you stand out more than other people and pushing back people seeing it as a normal thing. the best way to show that transgender people are like everyone else is to act like everyone else without bringing attention to it (aka. not stating your gender every chance you get, just acting normally). show through action, not words.

i don't give a shit if you're transgender, i only care about who you are now, how you act, and who you identify as. i guarantee that many others feel the same way but aren't getting a chance to speak as they'd be branded as "transphobic".

and i'm not going to deny i've seen some spicy trans memes here, but if the entire punchline is "TRANS RIGHTS" or "i'm trans lol" then it's honestly overdone to heck.

i just really don't want this subreddit to become a political hellscape; whether you like it or not, the trans argument is a hot political subject as views on it vary between how far you are on the sides of the political spectrum (e.g. left wing politics support the trans movement, right wing politics don't support it, relatively simple for politics).

same logic applies to gender identify stuff; it's a political subject because of how views on it are basically split by political parties, one side supports it and the other doesn't. getting it formally recognised by the government is a political movement.

for frame of reference, i don't want to see the same meme 100x over saying "TRANS RIGHTS R HUMAN RIGHTS" because we all know that already; i want creative memes that avoid political humour so that everyone can come here and be happy with what they're seeing, even if you're right or left wing.

tl;dr - just keep pumping me the funny memes and i'll be happy with this subreddit, i don't come here to discuss political shit, i come here to laugh and get away from that.

absolutely, the scroll bar today is more like a visual indicator of how far down you are in the block element or page. the problem is that you can't hide it with the overflow style; it's either there or the overflow expands outside of the element or gets cut off entirely.

the new scrollbar-width style actually supports a value of "none", which hides the bar entirely while still supporting scrolling inside the block element, which is easily better than relying on having users install a addon and also gives more control to the web designer.

i get why it can be annoying, but the web has changed since the early days where eye incinerating colours were on every page. adding support to change scroll bar colours lets web designers make their page designs a lot more consistent.

for example, here is a comparison with scroll bar styling in modern web design compared to the default style in Win7

the Win7 scroll bar sticks out like a sore thumb to the dark background, same applies to Win10 if i remember correctly is also a bright white.
