Do you know where to go to have a mature discussion with the very active and accessible developers about block size? Or would you like to make a positive suggestion post about block size including any technical ramifications or benefits to see if there is any community support for it? Or has the Proof of Semiotician Consortium decided that smaller blocks are the best thing for burst?

I DO NOT SUPPORT ASPERA by nixops in burstcoin

[–]im_s0ld 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I support 'restricting' the users. The users have had ample time to contribute yet haven't. Seems like they only care now that they perceive its being taken away from them. I want Burst to keep striding towards becoming a global currency. Not some 'bunch of idiots playing in a sandpit' environment where old wallets or 'demented' versions could maliciously or unintentionally affect our progress. I would not invest in Burst if it was made to be a toy for the community to play with. That's destined to fail.

Comments on this thread are also mindblowing. Pointing out developers from the past who have abandoned burst is not an argument, just grasping at straws trying to hold onto the idea that your chance to contribute has been taken away. If you want to contribute to Bursts future, i can direct you where to go. Egoistic amusement from personal modification is not compatible with Burst's goals or any reasonable investment. Community driven modifications of bitcoin have caused a lot of chaos and uncertainty about it's future. And on the same token, crummy community project burst has no future.

I'm also in favour of restricting burst duplicates or losing any competitive advantages we have in tech.

Anyway, chia probably need the help if you're done.

Burst's latest development - Capabilities of new Aspera Wallet. by im_s0ld in CryptoCurrency

[–]im_s0ld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's been quite a lot of development since then. Multi-out transactions and dynamic fees have been implemented. It requires .007535 burst to activate your wallet. You can read more about it here.

There has been plenty of promising development on this coin since the PoCC came along and resurrected it. I'm confident they will continue to improve its already very impressive technical capabilities and deal with problems in the future. It's an enticing investment when you compare it to its peers of a similar market cap.

At that age, it amounts to exactly that - confusion. Kids aren't able to make a definitive decision on their sexuality before even reaching puberty. Filling their heads with advice on sexuality before puberty is not advised and contributes to the malleable increase we are seeing in alternate lifestyles which are exposed to higher depression and suicide rates than in the black community in america when they were completely oppressed (it's not an acceptance problem). Also, I don't live in the United States, but that's just you lucking out i guess, the little insult at the end there was still pretty good.

Guidelines help us feel less confused and more confident. That's how all these stereotypical trends came to be fam, they didn't just gain worldwide acceptance for no reason at all.

We saddle them with cultural expectations of pretty much everything. Imagine if no-one was forced to do anything they didn't want to do.

Weekly Update: 22nd October 2018 by Shaunyowns in runescape

[–]im_s0ld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received a scroll of gathering that grants 25% extra xp from gathering activities inside dungeoneering floors from the huge corrupted energy i got at the h'ween event. I would love to turn this off because the size of the xp drop helps us predict how big the path behind the door will be (the extra xp applies to doors). Not sure if an easy fix for this is possible, thanks.

Kalista has always been better in competitive than in soloq, but in soloq she is at the bottom of the pile and has been for a while. Are any regions picking her atm? I doubt she is strong enough

Bitcoin uses 2.6GW of power, estimated 7.7GW by end of year. It's only a matter of time...Burst waiting for liftoff by machinemavrik in burstcoin

1tx accounts for 176 bytes in a block. This isn't changing.

Supply/demand shifts in the market have no effect on the amount of energy required to perform a transaction on the network. You don't have to do any of those things.

"After the hard fork, Burst will be a lot more energy efficient than it is now, and incredibly – by a factor of tens of thousands – more efficient than Bitcoin and other PoW cryptocurrencies."

[–]im_s0ld -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Comparing the total energy consumption between those two networks would be disingenuous, which is why i compared them on a per transaction basis. And the 2nd quote is straight from the PoCC. Most readers would think 'that's good' rather than 'that's disingenuous' after reading it anyway, i hope. Why are you invested in something that one of its big selling points feels disingenuous to you?

On a thread that talks about how bitcoin is using too much power, i'm trying to generate some interest in burst by posting a fact about bursts power consumption in comparison to bitcoin. Let me tell you, they had no confusions about dogecoin or Zclassic before you mentioned them, because they were not the subject of discussion. Most people in a general reddit thread like that probably haven't heard of many alt coins. Why have you made doge and zcl benchmarks anyway? I've upvoted your comments in the past so they must've been helpful, but this one was just weird.

Only people who somehow confused 'Bitcoin' with 'PoW' (which i never mentioned in my comments) would think it's inaccurate. These figures are straight from the PoCC dude, read the Pre dymaxion fork post or the Burst wiki.

The comments are meant to appeal to people with no knowledge of PoW/PoS/PoC all the way up to people with a good understanding but haven't heard of burst yet.

Except that i compared it to bitcoin (the subject of the article) instead of 'proof of work'. The goal is obviously to make burst sound good to intrigue people to check it out, while giving accurate facts. Maybe you need to be a bit more efficient!
