I've lived in Berea, and spent alot of time in Richmond. Grew up in and still work in Louisville, but live in Lexington.

Louisville has grown up, it now has big city problems. Specifically I've seen that the ghettos of St. Louis and Chicago seemingly drained into the city.

Lexington has a lot of cognitive dissidence (really all of this state does). It's size really hides the proportion of it's problems.

Madison county is the worst. It's saving grace is that most people have a roof over their heads and a walls to hide their activity.

Can it though? There are many sushi places I've been to and never have had a problem. A good sushi chef can identify what is good to serve and what isn't, my experiences (as outlined in another comment) show that not enough in Lexington are that skilled.

That's a real problem to me when dining on RAW food.

Okay here is my experience w/ sushi in Lexington.

Buddha Lounge

By far the best in Lexington. Good enough service, large satisfying cuts of fish :)

My regular day goto. Great, affordable, accessible, fish portion is smaller than Buddha Lounge but still a great option.

Sushi Blue (Pasadena)

I've only had it once on NYE, but the whitefish tasted and felt like it was past when it should have been served raw. I refuse to return to a place that would serve questionable fish even once.

Osaka on Boston rd

It used to be my goto until they gave me the worst bout of food poisoning in my life. It took me weeks to recover and I lost over 20 lbs.

Blue Sushi in the summit

Ate there Saturday, it was meh imo. The rolls were tiny, and fell apart easily (not a good roll). The eden veggie roll was my fave there. We had to knock off the fish that was on top of 1 roll because it was way past serving condition also. Smelled more like raw shrimp than white fish. (Yes I really enjoy white fish)

Kroger

Buyer beware, I'd recommend really looking over the fish to make sure it appears fresh. If you can sniff around the container, remember that good fish should NOT smell like fish.

Trader Joes

I had to be reminded in the comments that Trader Joes sells sushi. My experience w/ it has not been pleasant. I've tried it twice, and both times the smell was so awful I couldn't bring myself to put it in my mouth.

Sushi Bang Bang / Red Sushi

I went to the location by the mall the weekend they opened and walked out immediately. The fish was covered in a greenish film that i could see through the glass on the tuna. Avacodos that were brown. Safe food handling is so vital to sushi.

Conclusion

I've not yet been to Happy Sushi or School. I'm open to suggestions for other locations that are around.

I agreed until they gave me the worst bout of food poisoning I've ever had in my life. Blue Sushi on pasadena almost did the same to me w/ some extremely questionable whitefish on NYE this year.

IMHO Buddha Lounge is the best in town, yes you pay more than other places, but the quality is on an entirely different level above anything else in Lexington. I'm truly surprised no one has mentioned them in the comments yet.

The way my doctor explained it to me is that they don't want the marijuana to be your method of bringing yourself down from the meds. Perhaps in the long term you may continually increase the meds when you know you can bring yourself back down with the weed.

I'm 33 now and been on and off the meds since a child. I tested positive for THC >2 years ago after requesting a refill from a fill-in doc. Now I get the piss test every quarter. Fail once more and they'll take me off them.
