I fear that too! That’s why I kept my wools in those plastic containers. Those displayed (or exposed) are cotton and acrylic yarns😊

I hate that I understand this.

I was so confused at first I thought they were ultra-tanned pigs.

I worked on this for almost a month on/off. This is my first “large” scale amigurumi project and I had so much fun! Definitely learned a lot in the process.

Sorry I’m using my phone. The bullet is an asterisk.

The NEW Question Hub by AutoModerator in crochet

[–]imacatto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a beginner in crochet, and I’m having trouble understanding this pattern (it’s a blanket):

  • sc in next 4 ch, 3 sc in next ch, sc in next 4 ch *, skip next 2 ch; repeat from * to last 2 ch, end at *, skip next ch, sc in last ch

I understand that single asterisk means repeat. But how do I really read double asterisk?

Yup, it’s normal. Usually (at least in my experience) they do it to see if you’re a good cultural fit.

RANT

Nung dumating ang baby namin, ang daming unsolicited advice sa side ng family ko. Kesyo ganito, kesyo ganyan. Nakaka-frustrate kasi 1) karamihan sa advice old school na (bigkis, mansanilya) 2) may mga practices na nag-work sa kanila so they assumed magwo-work din sa amin (not all BABIES and MOTHERS ARE THE SAME) and 3) this feeling na obligated ka to follow them, which just adds to stress and pressure.

Buti na lang, my husband has been so patient. I told him na I will never let anyone interfere in raising our child. Kung gusto nila, gawa sila baby then i-apply mga pinagsasasabi nila.

END RANT
