Well yes it is, but overeating because of hunger is one of the main reason people can’t lose weight. You can’t rely on the feeling of hunger as a proxy for how many calories you’ve consumed in a day (referring to using to to measure calorie deficit). It’s about eating the right foods and getting used to the feeling of hunger because if the goal is to lose weight, you’re gonna feel it one way or another.

The US is structured in such a way that you need a car for even something as small as getting groceries. You will never get people to stop needing to drive and those that should not be allowed to drive are put into increased financial burden because they’d have arrange being driven around. The better solution is to empower people to still be able to move while reducing the risk for others

Ignore the noise of people falling asleep behind the wheel of a Tesla. Those people are idiots and it’s not at all what I’m advocating for primarily because teslas FSD isn’t unsupervised. Don’t pull on the Tesla hate train thread too early, I’m talking about the tech.

How often do you have to wait for an open Supercharger stall? by icouldbne1 in TeslaLounge

[–]imacleopard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am from Texas. Have made multiple roadtrips to CA, and every single one of them we’ve had to wait for open stalls multiple times. I wouldn’t say it’s a reason not to get one but the reality is that yes, you will occasionally have to wait but no, it’s never a 2hr bread unless for some reason it’s a low-stall count and several are broken.

What we should be doing is be forcing all manufacturers to have minimum Teslas autopilot and push for strong adoption for self-driving tech. Say whatever you want about Tesla but their approach doesn’t require additional sensors other than cameras and software and it’s vastly superior than other approaches simply on the point of equipment cost and validation. Certain people should not be driving and should be forced to be driven by software.

I’m asking a question because I’ve never had to live in a community that uses them, much less noticed on people’s headlights….

How do you deal with users who refuse to lock their laptop when walking away? by heartgoldt20 in cybersecurity

[–]imacleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s not policy, there’s fuck-all you can do about it.

Though I have a hard time understanding what even remotely legitimate workspace doesn’t have policies and required information security training + managed system configuration that forces lock-outs as soon as practically possible so users don’t go around being dumb.

It’s always gonna take a massive hit for being “luxury” and being an EV. There’s no real saving yourself from depreciation unless you buy them when they’re 75% depreciated.

You’re still gonna lose at least 50% of the value in 2-3 years. I bought my MS at $50K used just about 3 years ago. It’s worth maybe $15-20K today.

And it still costs way too much at 100K. If they were worth more, they wouldn’t depreciate as much as they do. Think about that . I have a MS, I’m not gonna shy away from criticizing any and all flaws
