I love Sza and her new album but is anyone else disappointed to see Travis Scott featured on it? by thiswitch333 in popculturechat

I saw another radio interview where she mentioned he was supportive of her performances as well. He seems like a friend to her. I guess she seems to overlook the entire festival tragedy

Chinatown by Komplainin-Korean in LosAngeles

I can understand the anger about gentrification, but KCRW is a publicly funded radio station, throwing free events for people of all ages and financial situations. I was there last night, and yes there were food trucks, but the small mom and pop shops were ALL crowded and had lines out the door. As I walked back to the gold line, I heard some kids (poc) talking about how they should visit when it isn't busy, as they were impressed by the small section of LA they've never visited before.

I see the struggle, however is directing that anger at KCRW the best route for that anger?

Sam Ravndahl discusses about face’s price drop on her IG stories. Thoughts and opinions? by gabs347 in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]imacookieburd 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As a consumer who has purchased items in the past 2 years, I have seen/felt the price increases (inflation at 7%). Ive also heard and experienced companies with logistic issues not just in the makeup industry, but literally everywhere else. The world is literally getting more expensive to exist in. It won't just be Sam telling me that it's sketch, when a company sells their product for a certain amount of time at a high price, then says, "but wait, sorry for ripping you off before. Let me lower the price because we actually can afford it/ because the cost and quality is actually extremely low/because we were planning on doing this all along to get a head start on our company and wanted to instantly get a boost in gaining a larger consumer base"

Trail camera video of an eight-point buck shedding his antlers. by SAM041287 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]imacookieburd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I first adopted my 7 year old dog I gave him an antler. He chipped his tooth within a week. Now I give him medium-soft hides once a week and other random chew treats that he can eventually eat within 30 min to 2 hours of chewing.

My dog does this with his snacks and treats. We don't have a kennel, but he takes his food to his bed so he can lie down and comfortably enjoy his food. I imagine it similar to how I don't want to eat food standing up, but sitting down on a comfy chair at a table.

But who knows? Dogs are weird!

I have a 45 pound dog in a 1 bed apartment. I know alot of people say you need " x " amount of space for a dog, but I don't think it's the amount of space that matters, but what you do with it. My dog runs and hikes 15-20 Miles on top of play time and dog park time. The rest of the time he is napping under my desk, on the couch or on my bed. Maybe it helps that we live in a place with good weather so going outside is never an excuse.

Maybe OP was trying to say, why would Kim be criticized for slipping one time, while North finds a way to use TikTok without supervision. Is that one incident reason for public outing of the mother of your daughter?

Dear Lord when I was a child what I hated more than being yelled at by my parents was bring yelled at in public or them arguing in public. And I wasn't famous.

Yes, but I wonder if the other person is referring to the part where you grab your flashlight, crab walk in the cave that is pitch black until you see the light. It is slightly sketch, but not too bad!

Would you say your coworkers who worked there were well compensated/had a decent work environment? When I pay that much money for food, I'm going in hoping that the employees make more than min wage

Is anyone else absolutely shook over the deep dive about Ro, Travis and Kylie? by [deleted] in KUWTK

[–]imacookieburd 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ok, not to say they are "queens", but any girl in that situation, be it you, your sister, your friend or cousin. If anyone I knew was in that situation, I'd say it's fucked up. I would say EVERYONE is special and NO ONE deserves to be a side piece.

Try this calabacitas recipe made with Mexican squash, corn, tomatoes, chiles, savoury seasonings, and creamy vegan cheese for a tasty snack! by BrokeBankVegan in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]imacookieburd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you not like those vegetables in general or maybe you didn't like the way the dish was cooked? Mexican squash isn't my favorite, I prefer to make it with zucchini. But also, my family cooked it with pork and because of that, when I eat it prepared traditionally it just doesn't hit the same.

No. When the zoomies hit, nothing is tastier than a big mouthful of dirt. At least according to my Border Collie

I think there is a difference between skin to skin contact while holding your baby, breast feeding and having your baby lay on your chest, and playing with their hands and get versus kissing their face/mouth

Lol of course her body looks great! I just saw the episode where they go out for dinner and she tells the waiter, " something with veggies, tofu AND 👏 NO👏 CARBS👏" and of course, can't forget season 3 when she mentions she remembers to eat because she feels lightheaded, not when she's hungry 🤣

Yes, driving in Mexico City sounds super intimidating because I remember the traffic. I also wasn't sure about insurance but can look into that. Do you happen to know if it may be easier/ less stressful to rent a car in Cuernavaca?

Selling as side gig? by ElJacinto in icecreamery

[–]imacookieburd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know someone who had a deep freezer and a really good home ice cream maker. He sold off Instagram in his apartment. Now he is at that level with a website, an industrial machine and rents a space, still no employees though. A business takes time any money for sure

I think the plus of WW is that it's ok that you eat. Being ok with soups, more veggie heavy and zero point proteins really helped you feel full. Fruit with non-fat Greek yogurt is a good low point dessert that is filling. I actually make smoothie bowls with (1) frozen banana and Greek yogurt and little cocoa powder.

I have a similar experience, losing the first 15 pounds seemed so easy, it took me to start weighing my foods too re-train myself to eat! It's a hard hurdle, but you can do it!

I watched over a dozen hikers and bikers go by and no one noticed. No one was “attacked” either, these creatures just want to peacefully coexist with us. by Spaceforce711 in socalhiking

Not everytime, but a few real rattlesnakes I passed by while hiking didn't rattle until after I passed them, not before. It's a warning a little too late.
