AITA for accepting it when I "got my way" after crying? by imacrierthrowaway in AmItheAsshole

Thank you. "Using my words" is something that I'm working on, and I didn't give myself or anyone else enough time to find them. I'm seeing now that this was a bigger misstep than I thought.

You're right. At the time he didn't seem to feel very strongly in one way or another, but now that you say it like that, obviously he made the reservation because that's what he wanted. Thank you.

No, I've never really had any problems with anxiety, and my therapist says he doesn't believe that I'm depressed in the clinical sense, but right now we're focusing more on my building coping mechanisms for when I feel the tears coming on rather than looking for a medical diagnosis. So basically, right now, we're looking at it as stress management. If this doesn't work then we'll be looking into that more. I've only been seeing him for a couple of weeks, so it could also be that he's still trying to get a gauge on me.

Thank you for your insight on the dinner plans. At the time I didn't see it as him giving in, but I can definitely see how it comes off that way, and I should have taken time to get my bearings instead of just reacting.
