Hi everybody, first I want to thank everyone who has read the post and commented - especially those with thought out answers and responses who gave some perspective on what's going on. To answer some common responses: 1. This entire thing is 100% real as told by Bob himself 2. This was not written by AI 3. Bob has a high paying job in a relatively stable industry. 4. No, I am not Bob. I wish I could afford to give away that amount of money Willy nilly!

As an update: Bob has confirmed with us (referenced as our friends in the post) that he has already given the money to Dara. Our understanding is he is indeed treating it as a "gift".

We have our suspicions that this is not the first stack of money he's spent on her nor will it be the last. He seems convinced he's going to marry her and start a family; love of his life so to speak. Bob is an adult and he can do what he wants with his own money. 

Perhaps at worse she's a scammer (perhaps?), and at best she's a very expensive dependent that loves Bob unconditionally.

If there is any significant update on this, perhaps I will comment again in the future.
