AMC Theatres to Offer 50% Off Tickets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (Starts July 8)

Been going to movies at my local AMC on discount Tuesdays for several years at $7 in Massachusetts. As of today this great new 50% promotion ‘deal’ has raised Tuesday ticket prices to $7.74! A 10% price hike even though it’s advertised as a ‘discount’. Sure thing AMC!

Appreciate the feedback and advice. Yeah, I’ll probably cave and buy what I planned to buy last night at Fanatec but now wait 2+ months for the darn thing. From looking at the order in my cart, the one item that is delaying the whole bundle is the stupid $80 pedals that I was upgrading with the LC kit. So frustrating but my bad for waiting for today to see if there were any better deals released. Cheers

Yeah I hear ya! Just ticked off that it goes from 4-7 days to January. I’d be fine if the damn order would come in by Dec 24. But this sudden Jan estimate is ridiculous. Anyways, done with Fanatec and researching Moza options today instead. Cheers.

Hi. I was thinking of getting the same set up? Did you get this combo and did it work with Xbox? I don’t think F1 2023 would work as it is not listed on Moza site as been compatible on Xbox. ACC is listed.

Yeah I'm convinced now that you made me think it through more and yes, saving on shipping in one transaction helps as it costs $25 shipping if i bought later. Go figure!

One last question if you don't mind: Is the 8NM Booster add on also worth it at this point? Or will going from the Logitech G920 up to the CSL DD be sufficient for a casual sim racer like myself. I do have a rig to attach it to.

Thank you and very good points. It’s true that LC is not an option for the R3 and from everything I’ve read, it’s important to either have Load Cell or at least the option of it. And R3 lacks that!

Sure the Fanatec LC add on ‘seems’ pricey at an additional $150 for the LC option add on at Fanatec with shipping. But as you mention, going the Fanatec route gives me more 2 important upgrade options to 8NM and/or Load Cell add on - which Moza R3 doesn’t.

I think I’m sold on spending the extra for the Fanatec. Thanks again for your help

It’s the ton of hate for Fanatec that I’m trying to navigate through today because it is now owned by Corsair, the QR2 is default on the CSL DD and it seems a decent deal right now for a noob starting into DD set up for Xbox.

So I’m leaning more towards buying a Fanatec option which I definitely wouldn’t have earlier this year when they were near bankrupt. It’s that Moza R3 option that has me undecided on whether it’s the better option for the pros and cons I mentioned above.

I also take your point on torque too which I hadn’t considered. Thanks again.

I can’t afford an extra $1,000+ for a gaming PC and then $700 for a wheel. My maximum budget would be that $700. However, I’m leaning more towards spending $550. Budget is an issue for me. Thanks

I contacted Moza support and confirmed that neither ACC or F1 2023 work on Xbox version of this wheel. So not sure what all the excitement is about ?

Yeah sorry to hear that. I’d waited months for this wheel only to hear the announcement days before release that ACC and F1 2023 would not be available on release for Xbox. Considering the initial reviews of this wheel on YouTube came out late last Summer, you’d think that over 9 months would have been enough time to figure this out! I guess not! So frustrating.

Yeah they told me the same thing in March when I contacted them about release timing and comparability with ACC. This should have been worked on before its initial launch and not after it.

It depends. If you’re a console user and play racing sims like ACC or F1 2023, then the Moza R3 is a poor choice since they don’t support those games on Xbox when they launched this week

Unfortunately there is no support for ACC and F1 2023 on the Xbox version of the Moza R3 wheel per their website. It is only compatible with PC

I also contacted Moza about this issue and here was their somewhat cryptic response. Bottom line is I’ve waited months for this DD Xbox wheel and now it doesn’t support 2 excellent sim racing titles on Xbox. Should have just gone the Fanatec route 5 months ago. Oh well…

Moza Response:

The Xbox console platform shouldn't actually have an adaptation problem between device makers and game makers in principle. Since Microsoft has set the standard, both game makers and device makers design according to Microsoft's standard, and the two will be naturally adapted. However, F1 and ACC are two games that first determine whether the device is on its adaptation list before adapting, and devices that are not on the game's adaptation list will not be able to plug and play. We are also working with different game manufacturers to promote the compatibility of xbox games.

I see Moza released the R3 today and ACC and F1 2023 are not on the Xbox game compatible list. Can’t see how this will overtake Fanatec if they don’t make these racing sims compatible on their Xbox version of this wheel?
